Incremental Update - FAQ

Hello guys, the new incremental update for Yuphoria has been released.
Lots people asking so much questions.
So here is a combined FAQ.


Q1. What is the version of the new update?
Ans. Here is the software details:
Cyanogen OS version: 12.0
Android OS version: 5.0.2
Software version: YNG1TBS2P2

Q2. What is the size of the update?
Ans. The size of the update is ~38MB

Q3. What has been improved in this update?
Ans.
  • Camera, specially low light images.
  • Proximity Sensor.
  • Touch Panel
  • Typing Experience, specially Gesture Experience.
  • Heating Issue.
  • Audio Quality.
Q4. When I will receive my update?
Ans. This update is a gradual roll out. So it will be rolling in phases. It can take upto 2 or 3 weeks to reach you. So just wait.

Q5. My phone is rooted, will I get the OTA?
Ans. You will receive the OTA update if you are rooted, even you are on any custom recovery.
But please note that: You need to be unrooted or STOCK ROM & STOCK RECOVERY & STOCK KERNEL without any modification to flash the OTA without any problem.
Q6. How to flash the update manually?
Ans. Here is the steps to flash it Manually.
Be careful while flashing.
1. Download the New incremental file from https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347762928
2. Place in Your Internal Memory or SD Card.
3. Reboot to Recovery (You must be on Stock ROM & Stock Recovery)
4. Clear Cache Partition (Just to stay in safe side).
5. Click on Apply Update.
6. Select the downloaded incremental zip file.
7. It will start to flash the file.
8. Clear Cache Partition Again.
9. Reboot Your System
10. Your phone will updated to the latest build.

Q7. I have installed custom recovery, can I flash the zip?
Ans. No! You need to be on stock ROM & Stock Recovery to flash the update.

[YU Yuphoria][ROM][OTA] Mirrors for official Cyanogen roms & OTA updates

Now CM appear to have disabled their links to official roms, updates & kernels for older builds, I've mirrored them all on AndroidFileHost and put the links in one post so that they're easy to find.

There are different files for each ROM: signed fastboot flashable zips, signed zips, OTA incremental update zips., boot-debuggable images and stock recovery images.

Signed fastboot flashable zips: These contain the complete rom and can overwrite everything including your data partition. These cannot be flashed via recovery - extract their contents and flash via fastboot.

Signed zips: Normal recovery-flashable zips that contains just the system and kernel (they won't overwrite your data partition).

OTA incremental update zips: These are recovery-flashable zips that update your rom to a newer version. To check which version you are running, look at the ro.build.version.incremental line in your /system/build.prop file and then update incrementally.

Boot-debuggable images: These are boot images (kernels) that enable adb root and the developer menu options. To be flashed via fastboot.

Stock recovery images: These are stock recovery images which are recommended for applying OTA incremental update zips. To be flashed via fastboot.

      Please make sure you download the correct version of Bliss for your specific device. The links are labeled clearly.

      FIRST CHECK SECOND POST - Make sure your device doesn't have any special instructions.

      *Make sure you are rooted.
      *Make sure you have a custom recovery installed. (TWRP is the preferred recovery)
      *Download the latest Bliss Rom & the latest GApps package.
      *Boot into recovery.
      *Perform a FULL factory wipe and wipe/system and dalvik cache as a precaution
      *Flash Bliss Rom
      *Flash Google Apps package (for 6.0!)
      *First boot may take up to 10 minutes

      If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, and is not a known issue with CM,
      please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you time, as well as us.

      -Download the Catlog app from the Play Store.
      There is also a donate version which you can purchase to show appreciation.
      -After downloading the Catlog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
      -Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving.
      -As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into Catlog and stop the log recording.
      -Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
      -Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the forum with a brief description of the error.
      -You can also open trouble tickets on our website for bugs.

Nope due to lack of resources. My sources are open on github. You can build yourself.

This is topic for CM13 only. Please do not hijack this topic.

When to expect new update?
